Opening the arts to every child

Care for a Class

At QPAC, we strive to uphold Article 31 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the child and believe that every child has the right to participate fully in cultural and artistic life regardless of their circumstances.

We understand that some children require support in order to be involved and fully appreciate the performing arts. Recognising that excursions are not always financially possible for many schools once tickets, transport, and additional teacher support are considered, QPAC’s long-standing Care for a Class initiative ensures that schools that would ordinarily miss out on cultural experiences can still access the Festival, removing barriers and creating meaningful opportunities for students.

Schools

Through the generosity of our donors, Care for a Class can offer partial to full subsidies for ticket and transport costs to attend Out of the Box. We aim to share this support as widely as possible and ask that schools and early learning centres indicate the level of assistance they need by completing the brief Care for a Class Support Request Form below. This will help us better understand your needs and coordinate your school’s experience. Our Care for a Class initiative is grounded in QPAC’s commitment to inclusion, access, and equity.
